Myoung Ho Lee is a student, lecturer and photographer based in Seoul, Korea. He attracted international acclaim in 2007 with his series Tree.

Myoung Ho Lee creates elaborate, unlikely large-scale temporary installations but his constructions are built for the purpose of photographing the results.

The concept of his Tree series of photographs is rather simple but the impact generates intriguing questions about representation, reality, environment and seeing. He isolates each tree from immediate environment by an immense white canvas backdrop, creating in effect “a temporary monumental door art installation” (Jim Casper). Read the rest of this entry »

Katja Mater Photography. It caught my attention because in a very long time i didn’t have the revelation of what i look like , so i  exclaimed relieved “This is how my brain looks like!”. It’s too blurry to understand and yet I still hope for some substance. I’m tired.

Blue Bulb (True Fiction) 1986-2004

Sandy Skouglungis an American conceptual photographer and installation artist. Her work represents basically a social critique of consumption and domestic life. One of her major foray into graphics is True Fiction (1986) a portfolio where she mixes high contrast colors and optical patterns created through repeated elements. Skoglund creates surealist images by building elaborate sets ortableaux, furnishing them with carefully selected colored furniture and other objects, a process of which takes her months to complete. Finally, she photographs the set, complete with actors.
