Liz Wolfe tells us stories using a visual language “that is otherworldly and mysterious but that reeks to reality; part sci-fi, part crime scene, part candy explosion.”

In her work there is  an obsessive organization and arranging the objects, a process that she really enjoys. Choosing the colors is in of the most important parts.

“Conceptually I’m interested in creating magical worlds …”

“I’m exploring things that lie beneath the surface, in constructing false realities in which elements of beauty and horror can comfortable coexist. The ultra-contrived, artificial aesthetics of my work is an important element. The images are glossy and commercial-looking but underneath the seductive sheen of colour and fun, something unsettling lies. ”
