Prepare for winter with this brilliant idea from the polish designerBeataFaron.  The collection is called “Brr”, and it’s a set of heaters made from wool with two silicone band inside to prevent it sliding from the cup.  So now you can be sure  you won’t burn your hands and “Brr”  will keep them and your drink warm… the perfect comfort.

This building caught my attention with its pretty green nuances, but even more alluring is the quiet equilibrium of shapes and colors. There is a visible continuity of the surroundings and a bit more than that, the building seems like a big stone with moss grass on it which gives a deep sensation of freshness.  It is balanced bright, timid and full of symbolic connotations.

Another appealing thing about this piece of architecture is its functionality. It is organized as a series of four parallel bodies in which fully built and empty areas are alternated. It’s built to fit both children’s and educator’s needs and their different perception of spaces. The first body is placed at the outer public west side, and it accomplishes a filtering role against external noise. The empty central space has an intense natural illumination through a skylight clearly emerging over the rest of the building, the long corridor or meeting point provides access to the various learning modules. The external backyard is thought as a prolongation of the space of the classrooms through the opening of large windows. A two meters roof space protects the classrooms from the summer sun. It’s a perfect combination of glass concrete, rubber, rolling stones, grass and wooded area lets us create suggestive and varied playing spaces for children.

I’m  more focused on documenting my vision and my dreams about this and other worlds. I don’t want to document the world as is it, I want to document what I see. Photos are images, and the memories most of the times are images.

Jamie Martinez is a 31-year old photographer who currently lives in Mexico City.  He uses the so called technique Wiggle Stereoscopy which is capable of recording three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image. He is currently experimenting with animated gifs from static photos.

His surreal photos explore the boundaries of dreams, create questions, play with curiosity. His inspiration is the sky, the stars, clouds, legs, childhood and people. The pictures vibrate with mystery,  gives you the necessary space for interpretation, are not asking for instantaneous reaction, you want to come back to them, to rediscover them in a different form, in different circumstances, they talk gently, waiting patiently for attention.

This is a short movie directed by Terri Timely (Ian Kibbey and Corey Creasey) a story about a surreal experience . Synesthesia is the ability to associate sounds with tastes, colors, letters, numbers or even people and Terri Timely  developed this  concept in something that stands out. I think that they highlighted the idea of discovering new ways of expression, new ways of seeing  the world around us, the way we can infinitely use objects, colors, tastes etc. to form a totally different understanding of everything that surrounds us. We are  used to take everything for granted and this leads us to boredom, destroying our curiosity, never looking beyond appearances. Synesthesia brigs an element of surprise and unexpected combinations that is  so refreshing for all our senses.

Beautiful illustration style from Rubens LP a Brazilian artist currently working for brands  like Microsoft, Nike, Absolut Vodka, Smart, Sony Ericsson, Coca-Cola, MTV, Simyo, Editora Abril, Motorola etc. You would sure lke to check more of his work on his blog.

Syoin Kajii was born in Niigata, Japan in 1976. His interest in photography began while attending junior high school and is self-taught. As a student he traveled around the world, visiting Britain and Papua New Guinea and Cambodia. In 2000 he returned to Japan where he continued the tradition of his grandfather and became a Buddhist monk and continued his career as a photographer. NAMI is a series of photos of waves around the shores of Sado Island in Japan and the title of the best-selling photobook of Syoin Kajii.

Using a digital camera, I photograph waves by staying in the water, or going down on the rocky seaside. I often stay there like that about 5 ~ 6 hours, but normally I try to capture the very moment I was somehow startled, so it’s not only targeted to just high waves.

The waves have the infinite possibility of expression and creates an antithesis, it’s scary but beautiful, dangerous or calm, angry or vital. The contradiction is the essence.

This house located in Canada dynamically adapts to the drastic water level changes by floating atop a structure of steel pontoons, allowing it to gently sway along with the lake. The first floor includes a boat slip, storage and sauna while the two bedrooms, office and galley area are located upstairs. A footbridge connects the Floating Home second floor to the island and an outdoor stair is open to the sky above and the water below.
